Is this a SaaS product or software I install?
NetLoom is a cloud-hosted SaaS platform. The central platform — the API, database, and web console — is managed and hosted by NetLoom. You install a lightweight agent on one device per location to handle local network discovery. There is nothing else to provision or maintain on your end.
What counts as an "agent"?
An agent is a single instance of the NetLoom Agent service running at a site. One agent can typically cover all the networks reachable from that site's subnet. If you have three offices, that is typically three agents — one per location. Agents do not count toward the device limit.
How does the preview discount work at renewal?
Preview members receive 50% off their first full year, starting from general availability, targeted September 1, 2026. At the end of that first year, the standard pricing applies at renewal. The discount is a first-year benefit, not a permanent rate.
Can I upgrade from Starter to Professional later?
Yes. Tier upgrades are prorated. If you start on Starter and grow into Professional, you pay the difference for the remaining subscription period and carry forward any preview discount that applied to the original tier.
Does NetLoom require internet access to operate?
Yes. Because NetLoom is a cloud-hosted platform, agents at each site need outbound internet access to reach the NetLoom API. Local discovery continues to run if connectivity is temporarily interrupted, and pending results are synchronized when the connection is restored. The web console is accessible from any browser.
Is there a free trial?
Preview access functions as the evaluation period. Preview members get full access to the platform starting June 1, 2026, with the benefit of the 50% first-year discount if they continue. We are not planning a separate free tier at this time.
